The most important thing is that the floor is set up on a completely flat and level surface. This is because the panels connect with magnets to send power and signal to the panels next to it.
If the surface is uneven, it will cause the panels to dip and move as you dance on them. This will then cause the floor to glitch out and damage the floor.
Unfortunately, this means that the floor cannot go on grass or some paved areas.
If we arrive on the day and the surface is unsuitable, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, and it may result in a total loss of booking fee.
The floor comes in road cases that require ramp access to the venue area. An additional fee may be charged for venues with stairs.
It can take one to two hours to set up the dance floor , depending on access and other inclusions. It will usually take about half the time to pack down.
We have 42 panels* which are each 60cm x 60cm in size.
The edging that helps hold the panels in place is 10cm wide.
The most common configuration is 6 x 6 panels. The overall space for this is 3.8m x 3.8m.
However, we can also do wider or longer floors such as 5 x 8 panels.
We will work with you to maximise the space available with the numberof panels available.
*This is the average amount of panels we have in operation. Sometimes panels have been damaged the week prior, and they take about 45 days to be shipped from the supplier.
Yes, the floor is insured under our public liability insurance. A Certificate of Currency can be supplied on request.
We will provide you with a quote based on the floor hire, travel and set up.
Our free travel zone is 30 minutes from Newcastle. Outside of this radius there would be a travel fee applied.
We may need to also add on aditional labour for bookings that are difficult to access such as venues with stairs or long distances.
There may also be an additonal fee if the floor needs to be retrieved by a certain time. For instance, if the floor must be picked up by midnight rather than the next day when the venue opens.
We offer a discount for bookings that combine the LED Dance Floor with other products and services such as our DJ packages or sound and lighting hire.
We will set up the LED Dance Floor the day of the event and pack down the next day.
The person responsible for the floor will need to sign a hire agreement and pay a $200 bond which will be refunded on pick up if there is no damage ot the floor.
